Idea about how politics could work?
Now, I have had this idea for a while, rolling around in my head. It isn't exactly finalized yet.
My idea is a government forum, under forced anonymity, where ANYONE can post, discuss, and debate a wide range of important topics. Registration would be controlled though, but not barred to anyone. You pretty much use a personal number (like social security or something) to make sure that people can't register twice.
A team of regulators would be created, with very public profiles and public lives. Capable of getting fired if, oh say, 40% of the people on this form want him gone. The idea is that to prevent people with identity to state their opinions. Their job is only to remove those that would disrupt the spread of ideas, and to carry out the will of the people.
Ideas would be finalized to a vote where people can vote yes or no. If an idea is passed then the administrators would put it into effect.
Alright it would still have its bureaucracy but still!
The idea behind this is that when ruling a nation for the good of the people, an identity is bad.
The one thing that all dictators have in common is that they all have a face that people can rally behind. If you remove this face, what you get is a system where nobody can rally behind someone.
Also it creates a system where normal people can have an extremely direct action on the roles of the government. A persons choice would no longer be limited to to a simple "yes or no". A normal person can simply go in and discuss important things that will change the outside world in a HUGE way!
Call it "Democracy II"
For a few years now, I have had a speach prepared on just this topic. Here is the reader's digest version of it:
How many people vote? How many people think their vote counts?
How many people have THIER issues being addressed?
People's votes don't count. It is the Electoral College. People's issues aren't being addresed, because the decision makers are living in our reality.
How can I fix this?
Go to your City Hall, and run for Precinct Delegate. It is a non paying job, and it only takes 1 vote to win.
Get to know the system. Make a name for yourself, Run for another position. A paying position. Make your way up the latter. Start helping others see what our future is slowly, until you are a part of the decision making. Remember your roots, and when the time comes, to choose a party, choose the one you feel needs the most help.
